Tortuguero – National park in Costa Rica
Tortuguero Moonwaves was inspired by a recently ‘adopted’ sea turtle that I have from purchasing a Fahlo bracelet which allows me to track her. Her name is Pistachio and she is a green sea turtle that was released in Tortuguero National Park in Costa Rica. I can track where she is every day, and I decided to put her in the painting. The giant moon in the painting symbolizes mystery and feminine energy that is complemented by the giant wave crashing onto the shore shore.
